Irish Friends Heritage Tour Itinerary
Day One
Pack your bags. Check In. Evening flight to Dublin. Arriving Dublin the next morning.
Day Two
Meet and Greet at Dublin Airport.
Transfer to Brooks Hotel in City Center. Complimentary cocktails & Munchies.
Afternoon Walk about Temple Bar Area.
Visit Guinness Storhouse and enjoy a complimentary pint of Guinness in Dublins highest bar.
Group Dinner. Brief group meeting about the fortnight ahead.
Enjoy Dublin City at Night.
Day Three
Take a tour of Dublin City.
Visit the Old Jameson Distillery, Trinity College & The Book of Kells and some of Dublin's finest Cathedrals
Free time to shop in Graffton Street, Dublin's high street.
Viking Splash Tour on the River Liffey for those who are slightly more adventurous. (Extra)
Free evening to dine on your own.
Overnight in Dublin.
Day Four
Day tour to Powerscourt Estate & Gardens in Wicklow (Shopping available) and Glendalough Monastic Ruins - Weather dependent.
Onwards to Kilkenny City. Check into Kilkenny Hiberian Hotel.
Group Dinner followed by an evening session of traditonal mucic with local musicians. Brief discussion on Irish music.
Overnight Kilkenny City.
Day Five
Walking Tour of Kilkenny Town.
Visit The Black Abbey, Kilkenny Castle and Jerpoint Abbey.
Visit to the Kilkenny Design Center which showcases the best Irish designers & artists. Shopping available.
Afternoon visit and tour of the Nicholas Mosse Pottery Factory.
Feel free to explore Kilkenny. Group Dinner at Hotel.
Overnight in Kilkenny City.
Day Six
Late Breakfast. Travel to Waterford.
Tour and Shopping at Waterford Crystal Factory.
Coninue on to Blarney Village in County Cork. Visit Blarney Castle and Kiss the Blarney Stone!! Shopping at the famous Blarney Woollen Mills.
Transfer to Cobh. We take a walking tour of this famous fishing town and learn about the Titanic's past
Transfer to Kinsale Town. Check into the Trident Hotel.
Late afternoon - free time to explore Kinsale Town.
Kinsale is the Goumet Capital of Ireland. Enjoy Dinner.
Day Seven
Early Breakfast. Cooks - We have arranged a visit the 'The Good Time Cafe' for a cooking lesson with Carmel Somers. You will then be allowed to sample the results of your mornings work. (Extra)
Fishermen - We have arranged a half day of Deep Sea Fishing departing from Kinsale Harbour. (Extra - $60)
Free time for others to relax or walk about this beautiful town.
Late afternoon. A guided history walking tour of the Michael Collins Memorial Centre - See cottages/vintage cars etc and learn about the man that got our Independence from England. The movie Michael Collins is a great Irish movie.
Group Dinner. Overnight in Kinsale.
Day Eight
Ring of Kerry Sightseeing Tour.
Kerry farm visit. Local sheep herder, Brendan Feris gathers his sheep using Irish sheep dogs.
Irish coffees in the Kerry Bog Village. Optional visit to the Kerry Bog Village to experience how life was in the Old Days. Free time.
Group Dinner at Hotel. Enjoy a Music/Dance show in Killarney Arts Center(Extra)
Overnight in Killarney Town.
Day Nine
Breakfast. Tour The Gap of Dunloe.
Take a jaunting car (pony and trap!) through blissful scenery created at the end of the last Ice Age in Ireland.
After a short break at Lord Brandon’s Cottage where snacks and Irish coffees are served, a traditional style boat will whisk you back to Ross Castle through the The Lakes of Killarney.
Overnight in Killarney Town.
Free time - Reccommend Dinner at Foley’s Seafood & Steak Restaurant.
Day Ten
Breakfast. Depart for Galway City (3 Nights).
Ferry across the Shannon. Visit The Cliffs of Moher and tour The Burren in County Clare.
Arrive in Galway. Check into the Radisson SAS Hotel near Eyre Square. Optional walking tour of city.
Free time to dine on your own.
Night out in Quay Street. Galway is famous for its old traditional pubs. Great Music too!!
Overnight in Galway City.
